How does the Triangular Beam Structure Design of CMM Affect the Accuracy?

If the CMM uses a triangular beam structure as its beam, it may have the following adverse effects on the accuracy:

 

1, Thermal deformation: the triangular beam structure may produce thermal deformation when the temperature changes, because the coefficient of thermal expansion of different materials or different parts may be different. This deformation will affect the geometric accuracy of the measuring machine, resulting in measurement errors.

 

2, Vibration and resonance: the triangular beam structure may be more prone to resonance when subjected to dynamic load or vibration, which will affect the stability of the measurement process, and then affect the measurement accuracy.

 

3, Bending and distortion: due to the geometry of the beam, the triangular beam may be more prone to bending or distortion when subjected to load, which will cause the movement path of the measuring arm to deviate from the ideal state, affecting the measurement results.

4, Nonlinear error: the nonlinear deformation of the triangular beam structure may lead to measurement errors, especially at the end of the beam. This error can vary with the load, making the measurement results difficult to predict and compensate for.

 

5, Repeated positioning accuracy: if the rigidity of the triangular beam structure is insufficient, it may lead to a decrease in repeated positioning accuracy. This means that when you measure the same location multiple times, you may get slightly different results.

 

6, Long-term stability: the triangular beam structure may appear fatigue or creep after long-term use, which will affect its long-term stability and measurement accuracy.

 

7, Environmental factors: the triangular beam structure may be more sensitive to environmental factors (such as humidity, air pressure changes), which may affect the size and shape of the beam, which in turn affects the measurement accuracy.
