The Important Role of CMM for Three Dimensional Measurement Technology
The appearance of CMM is a milestone in the transition of measuring instrument from classical mode of action to modern automatic testing technology. CMM has an important process for 3D measurement technology in the following aspects.
1. Realize the high efficiency and high precision measurement and evaluation of basic geometric elements, and solve the measurement of complex shape surface contour size, such as the aperture and hole position of box parts, blades and gears, automobiles and aircraft, etc.
2. The measurement accuracy of three-dimensional measurement is provided. 3. Because the CMM can be used with CNC machine tools and machining centers to form production processing lines or flexible manufacturing systems, it promotes the development of automatic production lines.

With the continuous improvement of the precision of the CMM and the continuous development of the automation program, the progress of three-dimensional measurement technology has been promoted and the measurement efficiency has been greatly improved. In particular, the introduction of electronic computers is not only convenient for data processing, but also can complete the control function of CNC, which can reduce the measurement time by more than 95%.
5.
