How to Eliminate System Errors
The systematic error of a coordinate measuring machine (CMM) refers to the systematic deviation caused by factors such as the design, manufacturing, installation and use of the equipment itself during the measurement process. These errors are generally predictable and consistent when measurements are repeated under the same conditions.
There are several ways to eliminate systematic errors
1) Error eradication
Error eradication, that is, from the root of the elimination. Calibrate "HOME" before use. When the gauge block is used according to "Grade", the manufacturing and wear errors of the gauge block can be eliminated.
2) Error correction.
First, the systematic error of the measuring tool is verified and calculated, the error table or curve is made, and then the same value and the opposite sign value are taken as the correction value, and the measurement value is added to the corresponding correction value, that is, the measurement result without systematic error is obtained.
3) Error correction.
First, the systematic error of the measuring tool is verified and calculated, the error table or curve is made, and then the same value and the opposite sign value are taken as the correction value, and the measurement value is added to the corresponding correction value, that is, the measurement result without systematic error is obtained.
4) Half-period method.
Periodic system errors can be measured once every half cycle, and the average value of adjacent measurement data is taken as the measurement value, which can effectively eliminate periodic system errors.
